WHEN WILL I SEE BENEFITS FROM THE PROCEDURE?
Stem cell injections are intended to heal and strengthen damaged tissue; pain relief is typically noticed several weeks after the procedure. You will notice ultimate relief approximately two to three months after the entire treatment protocol.
HOW MANY INJECTIONS DO I NEED?
Patients respond very well to just one treatment, in most cases. Depending on the severity of the injury, some patients may benefit from two to three injections over the course of one year.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF STEM CELL INJECTIONS?
There are minor risks associated with stem cell injections including infection, bleeding, or nerve damage. Since you are using your body’s own healing factors, there is no risk of allergic reaction.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER IT?
Currently this treatment is not covered by most major medical insurance plans. If your condition is a result of a work-related injury and is covered under workers’ compensation, you may be eligible for some regenerative therapies. Often patients are able to use their health savings accounts (HSAs) to pay for their treatment.
WHAT WILL IT COST?
The costs of regenerative therapy procedures depend on the treatment that is right for you. The appropriate procedure and its cost will be discussed prior to scheduling.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
Recovery times do vary, but most patients can expect to see improvement in their pain and mobility within 4 to 6 weeks following treatment. Stem cell therapy patients experience speedy recovery and are back to their daily activities quickly
